Andy Peters has been immersed in music in one way or another for all of his adult life.
Those who know him well would might disagree and argue that music is his life.
In the early days, he was merely an avid collector of all music, although on a much greater scale than most.
Progressing to performing in several bands, he eventually cut out the middle man and formed his own. However throughout
this performance phase, his appetite for attending live music events, both big and small, was always present. Nevertheless, attendance at these gigs generally involved travelling to the larger Irish cities, both north and south, as well as the mainland,
and became a constant source of irritation.
So, armed with the aspiration of making music more accessible to all firmly in mind, he determined to do his utmost to bring internationally renowned artists to a more rural location and was successful in persuading local area councils to support his idea. Initially, this led to the formation of the Frontier Music Club around 2003 which then morphed into its current guise,
the Brontë Music Club in 2005, so named because of the area’s connection with the famous English Victorian writers.
The sisters’ father was born and raised in the locale and taught in the schoolhouse which adjoins the deconsecrated, beautiful,
old church, and now serves as the acoustically perfect venue of the club’s auditorium.
While only involved in the active promotion of the Americana genre of music for about five years or so, Andy had been very
influential with other local promoters in recommending the type of artist who suit the Irish scene. Among the first of those
he persuaded to include Ireland in their tour schedule was Kimmie Rhodes, who hadn’t performed on the island for over
a decade prior to his intervention. Kimmie was so impressed with the quality of organisation and attention to detail that she
asked Andy to look after the booking of her future tours in Ireland. She is now a personal friend. The word quickly spread
amongst others and Frontier Promotions was born and Andy’s circle of friends in the music business on both sides of the
Atlantic grew ever larger.
His impact on the local music scene since his decision to promote his own stable of entertainers has been immense, raising
the profile of a great many artists, previously unknown here, in the process. Numbered among the latter group in addition
to Kimmie, now a regular visitor, are The Paperboys, Eliza Gilkyson, Blue Rodeo, the Wailin Jennys, The Believers, Beatlegras, L’Angelus, Lynn Miles and many others too numerous to namecheck here.
Frontier Promotions is committed to bringing both new and established artists to Irish audiences and will continue to focus on
its overriding principle that it is just as important for performers to enjoy their experience in the same way that audiences
should savour the performances.
Here’s to the future of bringing great music to the people.

QUOTES:
Andy is much more than a well - respected booking agent.
He is a friend first, who holds a deep admiration and understanding of the creativity and personalities of the artists
he represents.
It is remarkable how he has somehow managed to survive the many quirks and demands that come with the territory
and yet still possess the innocent honest heart of a true music fan.
We love Andy!

"Andy is hands down one of the best people we have ever worked with, both as a promoter and as a booking agent.
He always takes care of his artists and is a wonderful human being, in addition to being an extraordinarily
effective businessman."
Chris Meyers - The Bittersweets
"Andy Peters has almost single-handedly introduced our music to Ireland. Thanks to his enthusiasm, professionalism,
and dedication, we have played sold out concerts in almost every county. Andy knows music and loves music
and understands people.
This winning combination makes Andy Peters one of the very best promoters we've ever had the pleasure to work with."
Paige Rees - L'Angelus
"Andy is a world class gentleman who puts on world class shows......"
The Believers
Andy Peters loves music and musicians, and it shows in his committment to the artists he works with.
Lynn Miles
First and foremost Andy Peters is a music lover. Spend any time at all in his home, or just in conversation, and this becomes
clearly evident. Andy is also the kind of guy who gets things done, and knows his market intimately. Need mandolin strings at midnight in Strabane? There's a very good chance he'd find them. Having worked with Andy for several years now, his good
humour andhospitality have made every occasion an absolute pleasure.
The Paperboys
From the very beginning, even before we met, Andy was busy making sure our tour in Ireland/Northern Ireland would be
a success! We were blown away by the gigs he got us as well as the radio stations he lined up. More importantly,
he is a true friend for life. Thanks Andy, we look forward to coming back soon.
